The Design

Engineers from Radian Research Inc USA, drew on the expertise and knowledge, acquired for industry legacy RM (Metronic) and RD (Dytronic) reference standards to develop the RX (Xytronic), the ultimate in power and energy measurement technology perfection

Application

  • Testing, Verification, Validation of Energy Meter Test Bench
  • Testing/Calibration of lower accuracy class reference standard
  • Testing/calibration of energy meter
  • High Precision Power-Qualiy Measurement
  • Testing of LV-CT Installation including LV CT & Meter by using high precision compensated clamp on CT

Features and Advantage

The Rx Series offers following features
  1. Extended Direct Measuring Range (30 V-525 VAC , 1 mA to 200 A AC) with highest precision provides the versatility to operate in a multitude of power and energy application
  2. Very low input impedance (<0.5 milli ohm) over the entire AC current range makes it the most suitable and high precision reference standard for testing of Automatic Meter Test Bench/system along with Isolating Current Transformer. Hence, the user can manage the traceability of the entire test system without removal of ICTs from test bench
  3. Light Weight in combination with the highest precision of power energy reference standard
  4. Various latest measurement mode selectable (such as Fundamental Watts, VA, VAr, VAr90°, Total VAr, etc)
  5. High precision in extreme environments, thanks to very low temperature coefficient
  6. High sample processing rates in each channel
  7. Compliance with IEC 61010-CAT IV 600 V, CE and UL safety standards
  8. 4 x Bi-directional, fully configurable pulse I/O ports
  9. 1 dedicated input port for scanning head
  10. 3 input high precision clamp on CT Ports
  11. 1 output for Ref CLK Signal (10/20 MHz) useful for synchronisation of high precision measurement
  12. Multiple communication port (USB2.0/Ethernet/RS232)
  13. Input potential protected through fuse/1 Mohm input impedance
  14. Front panel video port
